The Company the Techbutler started in 2015 its first Sustainable Project - Using the Suns Abundant Radiant Energy in Johannesburg in the generation of free Hot Water and Underfloor Water Heating. The Hot water generated was used to overheat the thick screed using it as a battery to store the heat energy. The System was based around the Rotex Solar drain back and
The Project Objective was to use the Sun’s Thermal Energy to Heat Solar Thermal Panels to generate Hot Water and Underfloor Water Heating to Heat the Screed and use it as a battery to store the energy to heat the house.

The huge jump in in Realtime Technology in the Measurement of Energy to Generate Hot water, Coefficient of Performance (COP) of the plants has enabled Realtime Optimisation of the Hot Water and Chiller plants.
The Demand for Student Accommodation has grown exponentially through out South Africa with the aid of Green finance and the Student Demand. There has been conversions of Old office blocks to apartments as well a brand new street of the Art accommodation blocks.
